AMM Solutions Ltd uses FDM technology for 3D printing, which represents the most widespread form and is a great solution for rapid prototyping and final products.
The basic material (commonly called filament) is a form of thermoplastic (PLA, ABS, TPU, PETG, and similar). The filament is fed through the gear system of the head of 3D printer, which contains the heater block and nozzle. By moving the nozzle in three axes, the molten plastic is placed on the printing plate (bed), and the entire printed object is made layer by layer. The layer thickness is usually 0,16mm, but depending on the speed, quality and accuracy, in can vary from 0,1 to 0,3mm. The print temperature usually ranges between 190 and 210°C, which is sufficient for the precise formation of each of the layers. Immediately after laying the layer, a cooling fan lowers the temperature so that the layer is formed. Depending on the needed strength, the infill of the product can vary between 5 and 100%, which can significantly save on printing speed and the amount of filament used, at the expense of the strength of the printed parts. To ensure that every printed object comes out perfect, AMM Solutions Ltd uses all printers with heated bed. This helps in avoiding the external influences and achieves the highest possible quality of printing.
